It has been a while since my last blog post. Actually I have been busy run errands with my kids homeschooling while fulfilling my clients’ appointments. Prime Minister announce Condition Movement Control Order (CMCO) across all Malaysian except 3 states in Peninsular (Pahang, Perlis& Kelantan) starting 9th November 2020 until 6th December 2020 and all schools & Universities/colleges nationwide need to be close and students need to continue lessons at home.
And of course some of teachers (not all teachers) gave homework that my son didn’t learn yet (he’s still in standard 3 so still need guidance in learning). Mmmmmm and now I have to do teacher’s work with no payment hahaha.. Although CMCO has ended early on 21 November 2020, but homeschooling still continues.
To be honest, I’m easily feels tired lately. That’s why I loves everything about minimalist and simplicity including my skincare steps. Although I like the idea of 7 to 12 skincare steps, but with my condition and situation like this, I would prefer to keep my skincare routine as simple as possible. It’s better to keep it short than not doing at all!

My Experience /
Actually this is not my first time using acidic cleanser. But to be honest, I’m very excited to received this set from make p:rem Malaysia. I’ve heard so many good things about their products especially for sensitive skin.
Since my skin is prone to dry/dehydrated, there’s a time I didn’t cleanse my skin as soon as I woke up if my skin feels dry. But different with this cleanser. I have no problem using it during both in morning and night routine.
This cleanser has creamy and thick consistency. When mixed with water, it lathers up nicely and glides smoothly on my skin.
As I massage to cleanse away all the fine dust, residues and impurities, I can feel softness on my skin. Probably due to formulation at a skin-friendly pH level that optimizes skin’s moisture level and balance.
Non-oily, mildly acidic cleanser lathers up micro bubbles for moisturizing wash.
I’m surprised that this cleanser leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and looking freshly clean without leaving any tightness, or non-irritating on my skin. No drying sensation post cleansing. This cleanser helps melt away sebum, impurities and dead skin cells. But so far I haven’t test cleansing with makeup. Will try and updated soon.

There are numerous kind of moisturizers on the markets to choose from depending on our skin types and conditions. Even I’m gets confused which one to choose from. Moisturizer is the last products we apply at night and the last steps in skincare routine before applying sunscreen.

My Thoughts /
To be honest, I really love this kind of moisturizer which can give that right amount of moisture and hydration that my skin need especially during night routine. The moisturizer does look like a thick creamy consistency but actually it is not.
The truth is I don’t even know how much amount my skin needs hydration and moisture 😂😂 But I can evaluate or estimate by checking out on my skin’s oil or sebum production. My skin will gets oily the next day if it doesn’t get that enough moisture and hydration throughout the night. Since I sleep with air conditioning, the chance of getting dry skin is higher. When my skin started to dry out, it started to produce access oil production naturally to balance my skin moisture. Therefore, oily skin on T-zone. There are two possibilities, either I did not put enough cream or the cream itself is not suitable for my skin condition.
Surprisingly, this moisturizer leave my skin moisturized and supple the next morning. No greasy on my T-zone anymore!
As applied on skin, it glides easily and smoothly on skin. It absorbs really well without leaving any stickiness and greasiness on skin. It’s lightweight and my skin feels soft, smooth and hydrated. Even when applied during morning and mid-day routine, I can feel that it still can holds hydration for long hours without making my skin sweat or gets oily.
This is probably due to Raspberry Fruit Extract which sits in top three in list ingredients. This Raspberry Fruit Extract is effective in promoting skin hydration and protecting the cells from excessive water loss, meaning it could have potential for skin care and anti-ageing applications.
So far, what I can say about this moisturizer for a short use is that I noticed my skin looks more healthy and supple. It doesn’t gave any bad reaction on my skin at all. I personally love this moisturizer and definitely be my holy grail cream especially when I undergo Dermapen treatment. I will update my review as soon as I finish this jar!

I guess every one including you reading this must know the importance of applying sunscreen right 😉 Dermatologists and aestheticians have already emphasis through social medias even through tiktok apps as well🤭🤭 There are 3 types of sunscreens : Chemical, Physical and Hybrid sunscreen. All have the same main functions which are effectively protects skin from UV rays, helps to prevent sunburns and premature aging (such as wrinkles, fine lines). Sunscreens also help to decrease the risk of skin cancer.
But have you guys ever heard about Blue Rays before?
Well if you are clueless or might sounds familiar but cant recall what it is, then let me brief a bit about this blue rays.
Is Blue Rays dangerous to skin?
Actually, blue rays or blue light has been mentioned last three years ago from Dr. Howard Murad of Murad Skincare on an episode of the beauty podcast Fat Mascara, blue light. My Thoughts /
I’m a sunscreen nerd and I always feel excited if I got the chance to try different types of sunscreens from different brands. TBH, I’m jumping joy when make p:rem Malaysia include this too in my package😍.
This sunscreen is actually recommended for those who have oily or combination skin. This is because, Blue Ray Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++ has a gel texture that when applied, it feels even more lightweight on the skin. Since my skin is prone to dry/dehydrated, I found that it works well together with heavy and thick moisturizers. But when I applied together with make p:rem Safe Me Relief Moisture Cream12, it leaves my skin with matte finishing.
This sun gel’s unique formula glides smoothly on skin and it absorbs pretty well and quick too. There is very minimal to no white cast.
This sun gel does works to cool down my skin, especially during hot and humid weather here making it ideal to incorporate into my skincare routine throughout summer. The cooling effect is due to Centella Asiatica Extract that contain in the sun gel. The watery-textured sun gel is infused with 68% moisturizing essence that said to leave our skin moisturized and supple for a long day.
Those with oilier complexions don’t have to worry about greasiness with this sun gel since it absorbs quickly and provides a refreshing and matte finish.
There is Niacinamide in top 10 list ingredients, where it is known to brighten and improve uneven skin tone, help visibly minimize enlarged pores, tighten lax pores, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface.
Overall, this is the best complete set for very basic 3-steps skincare routine are a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer, and a sunscreen. Seriously, that’s all you have to do, especially when you are busy or lazy enough to do more complex skincare routines. It’s better do less than nothing. I like to keep things pretty simple and making easier for me to identify which ingredients or formulations that might not work well on my skin. Many steps with many products might confuse me if something went wrong.
“There is not one magic ‘one size fits all’ number of skincare routines. Each and every one of us have totally different skin types and conditions.
All this three products really matched and complete each other, I would say that it might probably suitable for oily skin too because it give my skin matte finish.
