Has nice skin moisturizing properties and anti-inflammatory effects.

While Streptococcus Thermophilus Ferment is the natural result from the fermentation of Thermus thermophilus, a bacterium (plant extract) that can live thousands of feet below the ocean’s surface. It can help protect skin’s support structure from falling prey to destructive enzymes and help maintain a firm feel. It also has antioxidant ability.
This cream not only help soothes irritated sensitive skin but also potential to brighten up skin discolorations and provide hydration to skin due to Niacinamide ingredient. Also known as Nicotinamide is an essential water-soluble vitamin, which is not synthesized in the body, and need to be consume or apply topically on skin to receive its benefits.

There are six types of essential oils which are Macadamia Integrifolia Seed oil (as an emollient for dry skin), Achillea Millefolium Oil (a.k.a Yarrow Extract, enhance the appearance of dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness), Hydrogenated Vegetable oil (as a skin conditioning agent – occlusive), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil (has ability to lessen acne, help lighten skin, and reduce wrinkles), Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil (have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it an effective spot treatment for acne who doesn’t have sensitive skin), and Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil (has antimicrobial, antibacterial, antioxidant, antifungal, and anti-aging properties).

Turmeric root extract is a good potent of skin soothing and skin-brightening agent too.

The berries are very poisonous and should not be swallowed. It’s used to hydrate and soften skin. Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) is a popular humectant in personal care products due to its ability to attract and hold moisture. When applied topically, it converts to pantothenic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance within the body.
Hedera Helix (Ivy) Extract is classified as anticaking, antimicrobial, astringent, skin condition, soothing and tonic. Paula Begoun mentioned in her blog that this Ivy extract can be a skin sensitizer due to its astringent properties, especially for those who suffer from allergies or have dry skin conditions. Compared to other allergenic or sensitizing plant.

What I’ve Experience:
First of all, my skin is dry, sensitive to certain ingredients and live in a country that have summer season most of the time. And that’s why there is time where my skin will started to irritate due to very hot hot dry weather.
I haven’t tried any products from Dr.Jart+ before and I am very intrigued to try this Second Generation of Cicapair cream because I have high expectation on this one. I’ve heard so many good things about their products especially for sensitive skin.
First impression of course its packaging. I was hoping it was a metal-like tube as I found this kind of packaging is more attractive and have different kind of feeling when squeeze out the product. I know this sound weird, but it’s a Instagram-friendly packaging🤭.
When you look at the cream texture, you will think that it leaves intense moist and feels heavy when apply on skin. But guess what? I was wrong too! This cream feels lightweight and it glides smoothly on skin with no pilling. It would be best to smooth out the cream rather than dapping due to its creamy texture. It make applications experience more comfortable and feels like it sinks in to skin more easily. It is fast absorbents without leaving any stickiness or tackiness on skin.
I have incorporated this Cicapair cream during both morning and night routine including mid-day. Personally, I really enjoy this cream mostly during morning and mid-day routine. It would not make my skin sweat after application, be it thin or thick layer, it keeps my skin hydrated and moisturized the whole day. It stays on until you wash it off.
So far, I don’t notice any cooling sensation when applied on skin but it make my skin feels soft-to-the-touch and smooth appearance due to Shea Butter, Dimethicone and Hydrogenated Vegetable oil ingredients. It forms an occlusive barrier over skin to prevent moisture loss and prevent skin from irritants and skin conditions (eczema and dermatitis) without heavy feeling.
Although it contains Witch Hazel extract and Lavender oil which might be sensitized to some people but so far this cream does not show any bad reactions or irritation on my skin after more than two weeks of application. Surprisingly it helped lessen my microcomedones and improved overall skin complexion. Need more time to see major improvement on my PIH. I would say that combination to oily skin would love this cream.
Have you tried this Cicapair cream? What did you think ?
Please read in context with my disclaimer.
