I received two products from Try Me Review Me program from STYLE KOREAN which are Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Cream and the VT Cosmetics Cica Cream. I have reviewed the Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Cream before, click here for more in-depth review. Later, I will compare these two and summarize which is BETTER.
Before this I have tried and reviewed both CICA X HYALON and CICA X CARE Line in my Instagram account but have not blog about them yet. So for this blog entry I will focus only on VT Cosmetics Cica Cream.

Star Ingredients
The star ingredient is definitely CICALIAOTM that contains four core ingredients such as Centella 4X complex which consists of Asiaticoside, Madecassoside, Asiatic Acid and Madecassic Acid (also called Centellosides) and green propolis extract (a powerful healing properties and quickly to regenerate skin to help make skin texture smoother and suppler) along with Centella Asiatica extract (soothing care) for sensitive skin and strengthening the moisture barrier. Centella Asiatica Extract has the ability to help improve small wounds, burns and scratches and it’s also a well-known anti-inflammatory agent for eczema. Has nice skin moisturizing properties.
Another anti-inflammatory and antioxidant ingredients are Artemisia Princeps Leaf extract , also known as Mugwort. Skin care products containing Artemisia princeps extract (APE) are known to improve dry skin symptoms in atopic dermatitis. Melia Azadirachta leaf extract has been successfully developed through studying ingredients by Shiseido that will alleviate the inflammatory reaction and inhibit the worsening of acne caused by stress hormones.
While Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, as mentioned in Paula Begoun blog site, it contains antioxidants known to be particularly effective in neutralizing peroxyl radicals, a type of free radical that’s widely considered among the most damaging to the body when its production isn’t modulated. Portulaca Oleracea Extract is a famous plant in Korean traditional medicine to treat infection and irritated skin. Also commonly known as purslane, has skin-soothing properties, and potent antioxidant thanks to its high amounts of vitamins A (as beta-carotene), C, and E (alpha-tocopherol) as well as other antioxidant compounds such as glutathione.
Contains a numbers of moisturizing and hydrating ingredients such as Beta-Glucan (which is great skin soother and moisturizer, and it even shows promising anti-aging benefits), Ceramide NP (play a super important role in having a healthy skin barrier and keeping the skin hydrated), Panthenol a.k.a pro-vitamin B5 (popular humectant in personal care products due to its ability to attract and hold moisture), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract (especially effective at preserving skin’s moisture balance and It helps to restore the lipidic layer of the skin, reinforcing the skin barrier) and Sodium Hyaluronate (it easily mixes with water and when applied topically, it attracts moisture in skin cells). These reduces dryness and flaking by increasing skin hydration and moisture.
As for Camphor ingredient, it has antibacterial and antifungal properties that make it useful in healing infections and great for acne-prone skin.

What I’ve Experience:
First of all, my skin is dry, sensitive to certain ingredients and live in a country that have summer season most of the time. And that’s why there is time where my skin will started to irritate due to very hot hot dry weather.
First impression is the packaging. I love metal-like tube packaging which is more attractive and has an Instagram–Worthy picture😍😍. As for the texture, it has gel-like consistency which what I know and experienced with other gel cream, it would surely made easy on application with fast absorbent. Unfortunately, this one is not. It takes a little time to fully absorbs and sink in to skin. Therefore, I would recommend to warm up this cream first before applying on skin. This technique breaks it down a little, and makes it feel thinner and more liquid. This helps it absorb better into our skin. This also allows us to cover our skin more evenly with the cream, and ensure that every bit of our skin enjoys the goodness of this Cica cream.

This cream has little cooling sensation but not that obvious. It glides smoothly on skin and creates a bit of tackiness as massage on skin but will disperse as the cream was fully absorbed. There is no greasy or sticky feeling and most importantly it does not make my skin to sweat. It leaves dewy and velvety finish.
After incorporated this Cica cream for more than six weeks, alternately with other products during both morning and night routine including mid-day, I personally enjoy this cream mostly during night routine due to its finishing. There was time when my skin was not in a good shape due to changes skincare products, where some of the formulations or ingredients irritated my skin and microcomedones purging started to appears. This cream really does its job in soothes and calms down my irritated and itchy skin. The proses of repairing takes around two to three weeks but it gradually show good improvement on my skin. Since it has cooling effect, it makes my skin feels comfortable especially during hot climate here and of course I love how hydrated, moisturized and healthy my skin looks. My skin feels so moist and stays hydrated all day long as if my skin’s moisture barrier are being sealed with this cream.
Although it contain fragrance in last list ingredient, the smells is just nice and subtle like refreshing herbal scents. So far, this cream does not show any bad reactions or irritation on my skin although it contains Alcohol in its formulation.
