During this review my health was actually not in a good condition. I went back and forth to the hospital to check on my pregnancy health since I’ve experienced spotting and bleeding. Due to this, I took a long time to write a review and while you guys reading this, I’ve actually been discharged from the hospital for 4 days and in a healing process/ postnatal confinement. Don’t worry about me, yaaa I should be resting right now but this is what I love doing.

But for this time review will be my skincare routine with rapid review. This skincare routine is suitable for those who wanted to brighten up those dull skin, blemishes or dark spots while focusing on pore care.

Innisfree Brightening Pore Facial Cleanser

[ What is it ]
A facial cleanser that leaves the skin clear and hydrated containing triple vitamin derivatives and Jeju Hallabong peel extract.

yogurt like texture that create light smooth foams and smells like tangerine to me.

[ How to Use ]
Take an adequate amount on the hand, build up a dense and moist foam then gently cleanse the face.

My Experience

What makes me love this cleanser was the smells of tangerine. It makes me feel so relaxed while cleansing my face during both AM and PM routine. I have no problem at all using it in both routine due my dry skin. The creamy and moist foam felt gentle on my skin while massage away all the dirt and impurities left behind on my skin. It contains Kaolin and Jeju Hallabong peel extract which makes it does its job cleansing effectively while leaving my skin hydrated for a long time even after cleansing thanks to Glycerin and Panthenol where they act as moisturizer and humectant. There was no tight feeling after cleansing too and skin feels smooth and helps make skin clearer. I love everything about this cleanser except one thing, the screw cap. I wish it was a flip cap, it would be much easier and user friendly.

Innisfree Brightening Pore Serum

My Experience

First of all, I love the twist and open dropper of this serum. It automatically placed the right amount into it as you twist to open and ready to dispense.

◼ Performance: watery serum formulation that glides effortless on my skin and absorbs well without stickiness or tackiness. Feels lightweight on skin and leaves semi-hydrating finish

◼ Skin Reaction : new tiny acne

◼ Stings/tingles Sensation:  Non

◼ How often I would reach out : both during AM and PM routine

◼ Immediate Effects : skin feels soft, smooth & slight hydrating

◼ Outtake :

Second thing I like about this serum is the tangerine smells just like the cleanser. It also contain fragrance/parfum in it but the scents is just nice and soft like natural smells of tangerine. Usually my skin don’t act well with Alcohol Denat (AD) but it also depends on the skincare formulation itself. Sometimes my skin doesn’t show any bad reaction if the AD was listed at the bottom list ingredient as long as the formulation contains high amount of hydration and soothing effect.

As for this serum, my skin started to show tiny bumps of small acne after first week of used. So I just kept using it until end of second week. Thankfully my skin behave quite well and new tiny acne slowly started to shrink and faded. Although it contain AD, it still provide hydration on my dry skin, not that drench hydrating but still feels smooth and soft to the touch without drying.

I noticed this serum helped lessen the appearance of blemishes or dark spots of acne. My skin tone looks more even and brighter especially when pair together with Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom Tone-up Cream. But as for pigmentation, I will definitely update with you guys as soon as I empty this bottle.

My Experience

◼ Performance: lightweight tone-up cream that glides smooth and soft on my skin without flaking. It blends well on hydrated skin, leaving smooth and soft feeling without greasiness. Feels lightweight on skin.

◼ Skin Reaction : So far there’s no bad reaction on my skin, no purging or even breakout

◼ Stings/tingles Sensation:  Non

◼ How often I would reach out : during morning and mid-day routine

◼ Immediate Effects : instant brightening effect for a bright and vibrant complexion.

◼ Outtake :

To be honest, I’m a fan of tone-up cream. I don’t wear makeup these days especially with the new norms of wearing a face mask every time you go out. So tone-up cream is an alternative for me to skip using cushion or foundation but still want to look more radiant and glow complexion.

Finding the right one is crucial especially if your skin tone is on a brown side because mostly tone-up cream only have one shade right, so I don’t want my skin to look gray pale. Thankfully this one does not! The moist watery cream texture has white-pinkish colour that melts into skin right away smoothly without dryness and flaking.

It blends and absorbs well on skin without leaving any greasiness or stickiness feeling. My skin looks slightly one tone brighter than before. It has soft flower smells of cherry blossom I guess, to me it is just nice. This tone-up cream contains UV filters of Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxides which mean that I don’t have to apply sunscreen right?! But I still felt like there is not enough protection from UV rays since I applied thin layer of this tone-up cream, plus I live in a very hot humid weather 😉😎

I really like this tube packaging rather than jar packaging due to its mobility (easy to bring along) and very convenient. With consistent used, I noticed this tone-up cream and together with the serum have helped enhance my skin complexion become more radiant bright while prevent dehydration and boost skin moisture. Definitely will repurchase!

Jeju Root Energy Mask

My Experience

◼ Scents : refreshing mixture of vegetable smells

◼ Outtake :

I love how this mask sheet fit perfectly cover the curved area of face & make skin evenly absorb the serum. This kind of mask sheet doesn’t slipped & delivers nourishing essence directly into skin. This carrot ingredient from Jeju Root Energy Mask line has efficacy of clear hydration with the rate of 2 out of 5 stars of moisturization level. I found that this mask is more suitable when applied during morning or mid-day routine where you need extra hydration but not too much.

The left over essence is more lightweight on skin than the Kohlrabi type and it absorbs really well without leaving sticky feeling. I really enjoyed this carrot mask, it gave that enough hydrating on skin due to five types of Hyaluronic Acid complex and has slightly cooling feeling when applied. My skin feels super soft and smooth and noticed slight clear bright after sheet masking. Definitely recommend this mask for normal to oily skin who wanted to target bright clear skin.

My Experience

The mask sheet is the same as the Carrot ingredient where it adheres perfectly on my face and doesn’t slipped. All the nourishing essence delivers directly into my skin leaving it soft smooth and plumped. This Kohlrabi ingredient from Jeju Root Energy Mask line has efficacy of clear firming with the rate of 3 out of 5 stars of moisturization level. It has ampoule type consistency which is more thicker than the Carrot ingredient mask. Therefore I found that this mask is more suitable when applied during night routine.

The leftover ampoule feels lightweight on skin and absorbs really well on skin without leaving any stickiness or tackiness. My skin feels smooth, soft and looks more plumped and a bit firmed after masking. I really enjoyed this Jeju Root Energy Mask line and definitely wanted to try other ingredients too!
